Downloadable books and cds

I recently attended an informational program (for library staff) on our Overdrive collection, which consists of downloadable audio books, downloadable music, and ebooks. As a confirmed audio book listener (although not yet the owner of an mp3 player), finding out more about this intrigued me. It really is an easy process! If you go to our link, there are directions there on how to do it, including downloading the media player that Overdrive uses. After you've done that, it is easy to browse the collection, check out your item, and transfer it. You can download it to your computer, then transfer it to an mp3 player...and the Overdrive site even has a list of all the mp3 players on which Overdrive works (sorry, no iPods!). Or, many of the titles are burnable to compact disc. New titles are added constantly. Please let us know if you have any questions or problems.
