Live Homework Help AND Xreferplus

We're delighted to begin offering two new online products this month!

Live Homework Help puts youth in grades 4 through beginning college in touch with a live tutor on line...tutors who can help with science, English, math, social studies, etc. The tutors are available 7 days a week, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. They don't just give an answer, they help the students work through the problem.

Xreferplus is an online reference library which gives you access to 2 million entries. It includes dictionaries, encyclopedias, reference books, atlases, etc. It is not a search engine, because it searches only its own collection of books.

Both of these new products are available to our patrons from home. Both must be accessed by first going to the library's website at www.sailsinc.org/mansfield. There are links to both of these right on our homepage, on the left of the screen. When you click on Xrefer, you'll need to log in with your library card.

We've signed up for both these products for one year. Please give us some feedback when you use them.

"Live Homework Help" is here!

We're delighted to now be offering "Live Homework Help." There is a link on our website under "quick links" on the left, and you must go the the LHH site by going through our website. LHH connects students from 4th grade to beginning college to live tutors. Help is available in math, English, social studies, science...Available every day from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. LHH connects students with live tutors who will not give them the answers, but will provide them with the help they need! This very special program was funded by the Trustees. Our link just became "live" today and several of our staff members tried it out. We asked for help with finding out about spies in the Civil War, how to figure out circumference, and about how to figure out space on an isoceles triangle. Please try it out at www.sailsinc.org/mansfield.
